pH Down 75% - 5.72 Gallon jug

75% phosphoric acid is for growers that go through lots of pH adjuster.  One gallon of 75% phosphoric acid gives you 8.5 gallons when diluted to 10%.  Diluting the whole jug (5.72 gallons) gives you 48.62 gallons of 10% acid.  If you were going to buy that much in a retail store, you would be paying over $900.00.

Handling concentrated acids is dangerous. Use extreme caution.

Always wear protective rubber gloves and eye protection when handling acid concentrates. Avoid breathing vapors. Perform dilution in well ventilated area...use a fan to dispel vapors. Have emergency eye wash station nearby.

When diluting acids, always pour acid into water, never water into acid.

Store all acids, clearly marked in safe closed areas out of sunlight. We recommend diluting 75% phosphoric acid to a 10% solution before diluting further for use as pH adjustor for hydroponic nutrient solutions.

Pour one gallon of 75% phosphoric acid concentrate into 7.5 gallons of water.

We recommend using pH adjustment acids at 1000:1 with on-demand dosers. Use small pH acid stock solution containers so if an accidental dump occured, it would not take pH down further than a point.

Here are some ratio's to get 10% acid from 75% - 1:7.5

• 10 gallon container: Fill with 7.5 gallons of water and 1 gallon of 75% acid. This gives you 8.5 gallons of 10% Phosphoric Acid.
• 5 gallon container: Fill with 3.75 gallons of water and (2) quarts of 75% acid. This gives you 4.25 gallons of 10% Phosphoric Acid.
• 1 gallon container: Fill with 105 ounces of water and (14) ounces of 75% acid. This gives you 119 ounces of 10% Phosphoric Acid.
