The company web site, www.amhydro.com, that underwent a complete re-design and debuted in June of 2008, has won the Best Website award from the Progressive Gardening Trade Association (PGTA). 

Awarded on April 26, 2009 at their Annual Meeting held this year in Las Vegas, the Best Web Site award is part of their PGTA Media Awards program that "recognize(s) member efforts to create superior advertising, writing, websites and other projects and materials aimed at promoting the image and understanding of earth-friendly, water-wise and organic gardening."

Created by former AmHydro Marketing Director (and current collaborator) David Stern, the site was given a complete transformation in order to solidify the company's respected position as an industry leader since 1984.  The site was designed to be maintained almost entirely by company staff.

According the their mission posted on their web site, "The Progressive Gardening Trade Association (PGTA) is an international organization of retailers and related businesses bringing earth-friendly, water-wise and organic products and practices to the gardening community".  Formed originally in 1997 as the Hydroponic Merchants Association, the PGTA has evolved to "bring together progressive gardening ideas, techniques, people and products and promote them to the gardening community".
